Lumentum Beats Q4 Estimates: CEO Says Data Centers Turn Increasingly to Optical Links

Lumentum Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:LITE) posted its fourth-quarter results after Tuesday’s closing bell, beating analyst estimates on the top and bottom lines.

Lumentum Q4 Details    

Lumentum reported quarterly earnings of $3.23 per share, which beat the consensus estimate of $2.97 by 8.75%, according to Benzinga Pro data. 

Quarterly revenue came in at $1.01 billion, which beat the Street estimate of $987.89 million and was more than double $480.7 million from the same period last year.  

“Lumentum is positioned at the heart of a secular industry shift. As AI compute workloads increase in both speed and bandwidth, data center architects are turning to optical links as a primary means of connectivity,” said CEO Michael Hurlston.

Looking Ahead

Lumentum expects first-quarter adjusted EPS of $4.05 to $4.35, versus the $3.61 analyst estimate, and revenue in a range of $1.23 billion to $1.28 billion versus $1.16 billion estimate.

LITE Stock Price Activity: According to data from Benzinga Pro, Lumentum stock was down 0.21% to $818.90 in Tuesday’s extended trading.
