Hyperscale Data Invests $70M In Michigan, Dilution Risks Remain

Hyperscale Data, Inc. (AMEX:GPUS) updated investors on its Michigan AI data center, where it has invested more than $70 million and is targeting a November 2026 start for a 20-megawatt contract with Alliance Cloud Services.

The update focuses on Hyperscale Data’s capital requirements and its ability to execute the project after substantial investment in the facility.

Michigan AI Data Center Targets November Start

The previously announced master services agreement covers an initial 20 MW of critical AI compute capacity for 10 years, with two optional five-year extensions.

Alliance Cloud Services also holds rights to an additional 32 MW of capacity.

The Michigan campus could eventually support more than 300 MW, though further expansion remains dependent on financing, regulatory approvals, utility agreements, and customer demand.

That leaves November’s planned start as an important near-term execution milestone for the project.

Capital Needs And Dilution Risk Remain

Hyperscale Data’s expansion plans remain capital-intensive, with the company already committing more than $70 million to Alliance Cloud Services and development of the Michigan facility.

The company has historically relied heavily on equity and debt issuance to fund operations and growth initiatives.

Continued dependence on those financing sources could result in additional leverage and substantial dilution for existing retail shareholders if more shares are issued to raise capital.

The scale of the Michigan project also leaves execution risk tied to financing availability, infrastructure development, customer deployment and regulatory approvals.

GPUS Technical Setup

GPUS remains below its major moving averages, trading about 31% below its 20-day average and 79% below its 200-day average.

RSI stands at 17.55, placing the stock in oversold territory. Resistance is near 26 cents, while support sits around the 52-week low of 17 cents.

GPUS Stock Price Activity: Hyperscale Data shares were trading 0.90% lower at $0.18 at the time of publication on Thursday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
