Hunter Biden jokingly asked Elon Musk on Sunday to help revive his Laptop (LAPTOP) memecoin before artificial intelligence causes catastrophic outcomes.
Musk, Amodei Issue AI Warnings
Biden tagged Musk, claiming that he and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei have both said “AI might end us all by 2030.”
Amodei called on AI companies to “pace the frontier” and slow advancements, following warnings from researchers about potential catastrophic risks. His call drew support from OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, as well as Musk.
Although Musk and Amodei never made the 2030 doom prediction Biden attributed to them, both have issued strong warnings about AI risks.
Musk warned last month that AI may “exceed the sum of human intelligence in around five years,” and that humans are unlikely to remain in control a decade from now.

What Does It Have to do With LAPTOP?
In a moment of fun, Biden asked Musk for help with his struggling memecoin before the AI doom prophecy became true.
Biden launched LAPTOP last week, invoking the controversy related to his personal laptop recovered in 2020. He framed the memecoin as a symbol of resilience, redemption, and recovery.
However, the coin has collapsed by 99% since launch, with on-chain data attributing the fiasco to insider distribution rather than ordinary selling.
Price Action: At the time of writing, LAPTOP was exchanging hands at $0.2305, down 22% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap.
