Circle Internet Group Inc. (NYSE:CRCL) stock is trading higher Thursday, extending a 9.56% gain from the previous session as crypto-related stocks rally.
The surge comes as Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) touched $70,000 on Wednesday, buoyed by declining Treasury yields and political developments surrounding U.S. digital asset regulation.
Nasdaq futures are up 0.09% while S&P 500 futures have shed 0.01%.
Treasury Program Drives Yields Lower
On Wednesday, the Department of the Treasury expanded its bond-buyback program, establishing a minimum threshold of $4 billion for long-dated debt purchases beginning in September.
The move pulled the 10-year yield to 4.67%, according to data from Trading Economics. Lower yields reduced the relative attractiveness of fixed-income instruments, increasing investor demand for higher-risk assets like cryptocurrency stocks.
White House Summit Boosts Industry Sentiment
Market sentiment received additional support ahead of a planned meeting between President Donald Trump and cryptocurrency industry executives at the White House.
The gathering follows the Securities and Exchange Commission’s cancellation of a scheduled digital asset session.
Milk Road analyst John Gillan noted that the administration is seeking legislative progress on the CLARITY Act to establish structured oversight for U.S. digital assets.
CRCL Stock: Key Technical Levels To Watch
At the current premarket level, CRCL is trading 27.6% above its 20-day SMA ($67.05) and 23.6% above its 50-day SMA ($69.24), which shows the near-term bounce has been sharp.
The catch is that price is still about 0.8% below the 100-day SMA ($86.23) and only fractionally above the 200-day SMA ($85.61), putting the stock right at a “make-or-break” zone for longer-term trend control.
The bigger-picture trend still has baggage: the 20-day SMA remains below the 50-day SMA, and the death cross that formed in June (50-day below 200-day) is a reminder that the longer-term trend has been under pressure. That helps explain why rallies can still run into supply quickly, even when the short-term tape looks better.
- Key Resistance: $88.50
- Key Support: $84.50
Zooming out, the stock is still down 42.97% over the past 12 months and sits well below its $159.47 52-week high, so this bounce is happening inside a larger recovery attempt rather than a fully repaired uptrend.
CRCL Stock Price Activity: Circle Internet Group shares were up 7.66% at $84.61 during premarket trading on Thursday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
