Robinhood Markets Inc. (NASDAQ:HOOD) stock moved higher Thursday as cryptocurrency-related equities gained momentum following policy updates from a White House summit held Wednesday. Nasdaq futures are down 0.10% while S&P 500 futures have shed 0.04%.
President Donald Trump repeated his commitment to secure U.S. leadership in cryptocurrency and emerging technologies. The meeting included CFTC Chairman Michael Selig, SEC Chairman Paul Atkins and executives from firms such as Coinbase Global Inc (NASDAQ:COIN), Robinhood, Ripple and Kalshi.
Trump Pushes Legislative Progress
Trump urged Congress to pass the CLARITY Act to establish regulatory standards for digital assets.
“We’re ensuring that America remains the undisputed leader not only in Bitcoin and crypto, but also technologies like prediction markets, artificial intelligence, and much more,” Trump said.
He described the CLARITY Act as “a very powerful structured legislation which will keep us ahead of China.”
Market interest in Robinhood was also supported by developments around its Robinhood Chain blockchain platform.
Critical Levels To Watch for HOOD Stock
From a trend perspective, HOOD is trading about 8% above its 20-day SMA ($93.54) and about 4.7% above its 200-day SMA ($96.53), which keeps the intermediate trend constructive even after recent swings.
It’s also only about 1.4% above the 50-day SMA ($99.65), so the stock is close enough to that trend line that a weak session could quickly turn into a “retest” narrative.
Momentum is best framed through RSI, which sits at 50.09—basically neutral—suggesting the stock isn’t stretched and still has room to trend if buyers follow through.
The moving-average structure is mixed: the 20-day SMA remains below the 50-day SMA (a short-term bearish alignment), but the 50-day SMA is above the 200-day SMA following the golden cross in August, which is typically a longer-term bullish backdrop. Traders will often treat that combination as “bull trend, messy short-term,” meaning breakouts can work, but pullbacks can be sharp.
- Key Resistance: $120.50 — a nearby ceiling and round-number-adjacent area where rebounds can stall
- Key Support: $93 — a nearby floor that lines up closely with the 20-day SMA zone, making it a practical dip-buy level to watch
HOOD Stock Price Activity: Robinhood Markets shares were up 5.77% at $101.30 during premarket trading on Thursday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
