Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) stock rose nearly 4% in Tuesday premarket trading, outperforming a mixed broader market. Nasdaq futures edged up 0.01%, while S&P 500 futures fell 0.22%.
No single headline appears to be driving Nokia’s premarket move. Instead, the gains point to renewed buying as the stock tests key technical levels following a strong 12-month run.
The stock is approaching a key resistance area near its 50-day moving average. A break above that level could strengthen short-term momentum.
Nokia Makes AI-Era Network Testing Easier
Separately, Nokia on Tuesday launched Mobile Core Early Access, a hosted platform that lets telecom providers and enterprises test new network technologies before deployment.
The platform provides a live environment covering 5G Core, automation, analytics and network exposure. It also includes network functions, radios and devices.
Nokia said the program can help customers assess new technologies faster. It can also reduce the need to build early-stage testing environments.
The program launched in June with 30 companies. Registration is now open globally.
Omdia analyst Roberto Kompany said the platform could reduce testing barriers and speed technology adoption as operators move toward AI-native core networks.
Nokia also offers a paid option for customers that need longer access or deeper integration with their own systems.
