Congressman Who Has Bought Over $1 Million in Apple Stock Isn’t Selling with Tim Cook’s Exit

When it comes to members of Congress buying and selling stocks, Rep. Cleo Fields (D-La.) is one of the biggest names by frequency of trades and the dollar amount of the transactions. A recent disclosure by Fields could come at the perfect time for one Magnificent Seven stock.

Fields Buys More Apple Stock

Fields recently disclosed buying more Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) stock, according to a filing tracked by the Benzinga Government Trades page.

Fields bought $1,000 to $15,000 in Apple stock on Aug. 13.

The trade happened weeks before long-time CEO Tim Cook stepped down and new CEO John Ternus took over the company. The purchase could signal continued faith in the company, even without Cook at the helm.

Fields has bought over $1 million in Apple stock since 2025, with three purchases in 2026 and 19 purchases made in 2025.

The congressman last bought Apple stock in May 2026 with a $1,000 to $15,000 purchase.

Fields has not sold any of his Apple stock over the past two years.
