Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) on Wednesday called President Donald Trump the “most corrupt” president in American history.
Warren Talks about Crypto Scams
Warren criticized Trump’s second-term business activities, including the disclosures that he earned more than $1.4 billion from cryptocurrency ventures in 2025.
The windfall included over $520 million from the sale of tokens issued by World Liberty Financial and more than $635 million in royalties collected from the Official Trump (CRYPTO: TRUMP) memecoin.
‘It’s a Long, Long, Long List’
Warren also mentioned the service by Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. (NASDAQ: DJT) that charges between $60,000 and $100,000 a month for early access to posts from 10 prominent Truth Social accounts, including Trump’s.
Notably, two media organizations have sued Trump over the service.
In addition, the senior lawmaker raised concerns about the conversion of a Qatari 747 jet, which Trump received as a “gift,” into the new Air Force. Experts have indicated that the effort could ultimately cost taxpayers over $1 billion and require several years to complete.
“It’s a long, long, long list. And it’s getting longer every day,” Warren said. “Donald Trump is the most corrupt president in American history.”
Warren Keeps the Pressure On
Warren has been among the loudest critics of Trump’s business activities during his second term.
Warren’s opposition to Trump’s cryptocurrency ventures has been consistent. The Democrat has repeatedly highlighted what she sees as major shortcomings in the Clarity Act, arguing that it fails to prevent Trump and his family from profiting off cryptocurrency,
Trump insisted his cryptocurrency earnings were neither “illegal” nor “wrong,” and that the U.S. must lead in cryptocurrency or risk losing ground to China.
A White House spokesperson told Benzinga that all actions by the Trump administration are taken in the “best interest of the American people,” while rejecting any suggestions of “conflict of interest” for the president or his family.
