KKR Stock Rises as Medicover Deal Adds Fresh Growth Momentum

KKR & Co. Inc. (NYSE:KKR) shares rose early Thursday after the firm agreed to acquire Medicover India, a multi-specialty hospital network.

Nasdaq futures are down 0.57% while S&P 500 futures have gained 0.13%.

Medicover India’s Hospital Network

Medicover India operates 24 hospitals with about 4,800 beds across South and West India. Founded in 2017, the network covers more than 80 clinical specialties, employs over 1,900 doctors and serves millions of patients annually.

KKR plans to invest in Medicover India’s talent, technology, infrastructure and clinical capabilities. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals, and financial terms were not disclosed.

KKR Expands Its Investment Portfolio

The deal expands KKR’s healthcare presence in India, where the firm has invested across healthcare delivery, medical technology and related services.

Globally, KKR has invested more than $20 billion in healthcare since 2004.

Separately, TotalEnergies recently completed the sale of a 50% stake in a largely developed 1.2-gigawatt renewable energy portfolio to KKR at an enterprise value of 1.8 billion euros. The assets are located across Germany, Spain, France and Poland.

KKR Stock: Key Levels And Momentum

At about $106.50, KKR is trading above its 20-day SMA of $100.17, 50-day SMA of $96.70 and 100-day SMA of $96.51. That positioning supports a positive short- and intermediate-term trend.

The main technical test is the 200-day SMA near $106.95. A sustained move above that level could strengthen the bullish setup, while a rejection may trigger a pullback toward nearby support.

Momentum is also improving, with MACD above its signal line and the histogram in positive territory. This suggests buying pressure is gaining strength after the previous decline.

Key Resistance: $106.95 — the 200-day SMA and main breakout level
Key Support: $100.17 — the rising 20-day SMA and nearest support
