On Monday, in a post on X, Schumer said, “I will block Donald Trump’s push to rename Penn Station for himself.”

“Penn Station needs to be rebuilt, not rebranded,” he said.
He added, “It is a public building, paid for by the taxpayers, and it belongs to the 600,000 people who walk through it every single day.”

Schumer said Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy’s letter to congressional leaders outlining administration priorities for the Penn Station rebuild included a “small, little bullet point” directing Amtrak to rename the station, reported Fox News.

“The letter never says what the name would be. It doesn’t have to. We know what it is. The administration wants Donald Trump’s name on that station,” Schumer said.
