Jim Cramer Says People Selling This Stock Don’t Have Brains

Shares of GE Vernova Inc (NYSE:GEV) are trading lower Wednesday morning despite the company beating analyst estimates for the third quarter. TV personality Jim Cramer is left speechless in the day’s selloff.

GE Vernova Q3 Beats

GE Vernova posted third-quarter revenue of $12.64 billion and earnings per share of $4.81, beating analyst estimates of $11.99 billion and $12.64 billion, respectively, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

This marks seven earnings-per-share beats in the last 10 quarters and eight revenue beats, including seven straight.

The energy company has been a hot stock in 2026 and a player in the data center-adjacent stock trades.

Shares are down more than 3% Wednesday and have traded lower since the company reported financial results.

“I’m trying desperately to get into the brains of the GE Vernova sellers here but I don’t know if they have any…” Cramer tweeted Wednesday morning.

After beating analyst estimates for the third quarter, GE Vernova raised its full-year revenue guidance.

The company now expects to have full-year revenue of $46.5 billion to $47.5 billion, up from a previous range of $45.5 billion to $46.5 billion. Analysts currently expect full-year revenue of $46.24 billion.

GE Vernova also announced the $9 billion acquisition of grid equipment company Trench Group. The deal will help the company expand its vertical integration. The company expects Trench to grow annual revenue in the mid-teens through 2028 and reach $1.9 billion in 2028.

Will Cramer’s Comments Matter?

This is far from the first time Cramer has called out a surprising stock move on social media and likely won’t be his last.

Some may see Cramer’s tweet as a bullish sign for GE Vernova stock after earnings, while others may know of the infamous Inverse Cramer trade.

Over the years, ETFs and trading tools have offered investors ways to trade the opposite of what Cramer recommends on social media and CNBC. ETFs shut down in 2023 and 2024, but Autopilot still offers an Inverse Cramer portfolio.

That portfolio was up 60% in 2025 and outperformed many stock indexes and other portfolios.
