Sandisk Earnings Are Days Away: Here’s What Investors Need to Know

Sandisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) shares are in the spotlight Monday, with earnings on deck, guidance and the datacenter mix in focus, recent analyst activity and a technical setup showing a rebound attempt near the 200-day average all drawing attention.

Earnings Preview & History

Sandisk is scheduled to report fiscal first-quarter earnings on Oct. 29 after the market closes. Analysts estimate earnings per share of $46.22 along with revenue of $10.64 billion. For the prior quarter, Sandisk reported adjusted earnings per share of $39.25, beating the consensus estimate of $34.45. The company also posted revenue of $8.96 billion, beating the consensus estimate of $8.39 billion.

What to Watch: Guidance, Pricing and Datacenter Momentum

Investors will be closely tracking Sandisk’s guidance against its own first-quarter outlook of $10.30 billion to $10.80 billion in revenue and non-GAAP earnings per share of $44 to $46, which implies sequential revenue growth of 15% to 20%. Pricing and the datacenter mix will be in focus, after datacenter revenue rose 233% in the third quarter. The company’s new business model agreements, multi-year customer contracts with firm financial commitments, are also a focus. Management said it had signed 10 new agreements worth at least $93.9 billion with four or more years of visibility and expects them to account for more than half of its bits in fiscal 2027.

Capital returns will draw attention too, with $15.5 billion left on the buyback authorization after $4.5 billion of repurchases in the fourth quarter. Shares fell about 12% after hours following the last report despite a beat, so investors will be listening for guidance for the second quarter.

Analyst Consensus & Recent Actions

The stock carries a Buy rating with an average price forecast of $2253.57. Recent analyst moves include:

  • Cantor Fitzgerald: Overweight (Lowers Target to $2200.00) (Oct. 26)
  • Mizuho: Outperform (Raises Target to $2050.00) (Oct. 6)

Sandisk Trades 17.3% Below Its 20-Day Average but Holds Just Above Its 200-Day

From a trend perspective, Sandisk is still in a mixed posture: it’s holding just above its long-term 200-day SMA ($1240.90), but it remains stretched to the downside versus shorter-term trend gauges. Specifically, the stock is trading 17.3% below its 20-day SMA, 21.4% below its 50-day SMA, and 23.1% below its 100-day SMA—classic “rebound attempt inside a broader reset” positioning.

Momentum is best framed through MACD right now: MACD is below its signal line and the histogram is negative, which points to upside pressure fading versus the prior upswing unless buyers can rebuild momentum. Structurally, the bearish 20-day SMA below the 50-day SMA reinforces that the near-term trend is still pointed down even as the longer-term 50-day SMA remains above the 200-day SMA (a more constructive big-picture backdrop).

Key levels are fairly clean: bulls generally want to see follow-through back toward the mid-$1400s area, while bears will focus on whether the stock can keep defending the low-$1200s/200-day zone.

  • Key Resistance: $1446.50 — a nearby ceiling that lines up closely with the 20-day EMA ($1448.72), where countertrend rallies often stall
  • Key Support: $998.00 — a prior buyer-defense zone that becomes more important if the 200-day area fails to hold
