Why Is Scinai Immunotherapeutics Stock Gaining Tuesday?

Scinai Immunotherapeutics Ltd. (NASDAQ:SCNI) on Tuesday announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Scinai Biopharma Services Ltd., entered into a development and clinical manufacturing agreement with a U.S.-based, Nasdaq-listed biopharmaceutical company.

Following the announcement, the stock jumped nearly 27%. Trading activity was unusually heavy, with session volume reaching 59.23 million shares, nearly 55 times the 100-day average of 1.07 million shares.

With a market capitalization of approximately $786,000 at the previous close, Scinai remains a highly speculative micro-cap stock vulnerable to sharp price swings and elevated volatility.

Expanding Clinical Production And Order Backlog

The contract broadens an existing customer engagement and delivers approximately $5.1 million in committed base service fees, accelerating the biopharmaceutical firm’s contract development and manufacturing organization operations.

Under the agreement, Scinai will provide integrated chemistry, manufacturing, and controls development alongside clinical manufacturing for an investigational oncology product.

The scope encompasses process and analytical development, IND-enabling activities, manufacturing readiness, an extensive clinical manufacturing program, stability testing, and the development of a prefilled-syringe presentation.

Advance and milestone payments will bolster Scinai’s cash flow and working capital throughout project execution.

The company anticipates that the committed services will contribute to revenue across 2026 and 2027 as it satisfies performance obligations, while stability testing will extend beyond 2027.

The transaction elevates Scinai’s committed customer orders across its Jerusalem and Yavne facilities to approximately $7.6 million.

That figure marks an increase of roughly 300% from $1.9 million at year-end 2025 and more than doubles the $3.1 million reported on Aug. 16, 2026.

This metric excludes future pass-through purchases and optional manufacturing expansions until the customer commits and orders them.

Potential Commercial Scale And 2028 Pipeline

The collaboration also unlocks prospective clinical manufacturing services carrying an indicative, uncommitted value of $5.85 million between late 2027 and the first half of 2028.

Additionally, the alliance opens pathways for future commercial manufacturing under a separate commercial agreement, though neither party maintains commercial supply commitments at present.

SCNI Price Action: Scinai Immunotherapeutics shares were up 26.72% at $1.46 at the time of publication on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
