CoreWeave Inc (NASDAQ:CRWV) stock fell Thursday as market participants reduced exposure to high-growth artificial intelligence infrastructure equities. The decline coincides with a sharp rise in Treasury yields and energy prices.
No company-specific negative headlines were reported Thursday to explain the downward movement. The Nasdaq is down 0.60% while the S&P 500 has shed 0.35% and Technology is also in the red — down 0.7%.
• CoreWeave shares are sliding. What’s behind CRWV decline?
Debt Covenants and SLA Risk Provisions
CoreWeave has a $2.6 billion artificial intelligence infrastructure loan linked to customer contract performance. Abhilash Jain, who leads SemiAnalysis’ consulting arm, noted on the firm’s podcast that lenders focus heavily on service-level agreements (SLAs).
“Without strong SLAs, you won’t be funded, period,” Jain said.
Failures to maintain service commitments can trigger credits, refunds, or contract terminations. Under CoreWeave’s agreement, a serious breach triggering a customer termination right creates a “Cash Trap Event,” which becomes a “Cash Sweep Event” if unresolved for three consecutive monthly payment dates, requiring debt repayment from collateral accounts.
Global Expansion and International Operations
Separately, CoreWeave announced Wednesday an expansion into India through a partnership with AdaniConneX, establishing 240 megawatts of planned data center capacity in Navi Mumbai across three 80 MW buildings. CoreWeave will deploy Nvidia’s Vera Rubin Platform as sole tenant, with initial capacity online in mid-2028, following its recent entry into Indonesia.

Technical Analysis
From a trend perspective, CoreWeave is still in a technical “repair” phase: it’s trading 2.2% below its 20-day SMA, 4.6% below its 50-day SMA, and about 9% below its 200-day SMA. The 20-day SMA sitting below the 50-day SMA keeps the near-term trend pointed down, and the death cross that formed in July (50-day below the 200-day) reinforces that the longer-term bias remains bearish until price can reclaim those averages.
Momentum looks more like a range setup than a breakdown right now, with RSI at 48.24 — basically neutral and consistent with choppy, two-sided trade rather than an oversold washout.
- Key Resistance: $91 — Round-number area that lines up closely with the 100-day SMA/EMA zone where rebounds can stall
- Key Support: $78.50 — Nearby floor that sits above the $60.55 52-week low and marks an area where buyers previously stepped in
Zooming out, the stock remains down 39.78% over the past 12 months, so rallies tend to face supply from investors looking to exit on strength.
CRWV Stock Price Activity: CoreWeave shares were down 7.80% at $81.55 at the time of publication on Thursday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
