Nvidia Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) CEO and co-founder Jensen Huang says he doesn’t look at his company’s stock chart daily, but the billionaire may want to take a peek this week.
Nvidia stock closed up 2.1% to $238.90 on Monday, with the chip stock hitting a new all-time high of $240.10 during intraday trading.
The surge for Nvidia stock helped boost the net worth of Huang, who owns an estimated 3.3% of the company.
Huang is now the world’s seventh-richest person, worth $198 billion, according to Bloomberg. Huang added $4.05 billion to his net worth on Monday, the third-highest total. Huang’s one-day gain Monday trailed only Elon Musk (+$65.4 billion) and Mark Zuckerberg (+$4.78 billion).
In 2026, Huang has added $34.8 billion to his net worth, up around 21.4%. This ranks as the seventh-biggest year-over-year net worth add by dollars on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Huang’s Net Worth Change
Huang’s net worth could continue to soar in 2026 as Nvidia announces a new share buyback plan and nears a highly anticipated quarterly earnings report expected next month.
So far, the $34.8 billion gain in 2026 is one of the largest and comes close to Huang’s 2025 gains.
In 2025, Huang finished the year ranked ninth richest in the world with a net worth of $154 billion. Last year, Huang gained $40.1 billion in net worth as Nvidia stock increased.
Huang finished 2024 ranked as the world’s 12th-richest person.
Now a regular among the top ten richest people in the world, the gains in Nvidia stock in recent years have helped make Huang one of the wealthiest people worldwide.
