Why Is Webull Stock Falling on Thursday?

Webull Corp (NASDAQ:BULL) shares are trading lower on Thursday as risk-off pressure weighs on smaller, more volatile financial names.

The Nasdaq is down 0.82% while the S&P 500 has shed 0.54% and Financials are also in the red (down 0.41%), setting a softer backdrop for brokers and trading platforms.

• Webull stock is among today’s weakest performers. Why are BULL shares down?

With the stock still down 48.28% over the past 12 months, rallies can also attract quicker profit-taking when the major indices are sliding at the same time.

The SEC also disclosed that President Anthony Michael Denier sold 53,846 shares of the firm’s stock in a transaction on Sept. 21.

Technical Analysis

From a trend perspective, BULL is back under its shorter-term trend gauges, trading 18.1% below the 20-day SMA ($8.82) and 11.9% below the 50-day SMA ($8.21). It’s also 3.6% below the 100-day SMA ($7.50), while sitting just 1.1% above the 200-day SMA ($7.14), which puts the stock in a “make-or-break” zone between long-term support and shorter-term overhead supply.

Even with the Golden Cross that formed in August (50-day SMA above the 200-day SMA), the near-term tape is still choppy because price hasn’t been able to hold above the faster averages. That mismatch — bullish longer-term crossover but weak positioning versus the 20-day/50-day — often leads to sharp swings as traders debate whether the bigger trend is failing or simply resetting.

  • Key Resistance: $7.50 — Nearby pivot area that also lines up with the 100-day SMA, making it a common spot for rebounds to stall.
  • Key Support: $6 — Nearby round-number zone where buyers previously stepped in, and a break below it would put more focus on the lower end of the 52-week range.

Benzinga Edge Score

The Benzinga Edge scorecard for Webull shows a neutral profile across both momentum and value. Momentum scores 50.56, reflecting mixed trend signals as the stock trades near long-term support while remaining below key short-term averages.

Value scores 42.23, indicating a middle-of-the-road valuation rather than a deeply discounted one, making near-term price action an important factor to watch.

BULL Stock Price Activity: Webull shares were down 3.86% at $7.36 at the time of publication on Thursday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
