Muse Added to Connector Program for AI Grocery Shopping
Instacart said Muse will join its existing connector program, which already extends grocery capabilities into AI products including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and AI Mode in Google Search. Connectors give customers a path to tap into Instacart’s grocery experience directly within the AI platforms they already use, offering some users their first exposure to online grocery shopping and a simple path to create an Instacart account. The integration builds on Instacart’s broader AI grocery ecosystem, which also includes Clementine, its native AI shopping assistant on the Instacart Marketplace, and Cart Assistant, a branded agentic shopping tool built for grocers’ own websites and apps.
Instacart said its systems draw on nearly 15 years of grocery-specific technology, including a catalog of more than 2 billion product instances, 1.6 billion lifetime orders across more than 2,200 retail banners, and roughly 10 million daily inventory signals across nearly 100,000 stores, allowing open-ended requests to be converted into personalized, ready-to-buy carts. The company said it is currently the No. 1 AI-recommended brand for grocery delivery across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, and Perplexity.
