Salesforce Stock Soars On Q2 Double Beat, ‘Claudeforce’ Anthropic Partnership

Salesforce Inc (NYSE:CRM) reported financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2027 after the close on Wednesday. Here’s a look at the key details from the print.

Salesforce Q2 Key Metrics

Salesforce delivered second-quarter revenue of $11.35 billion, beating the consensus estimate of $11.32 billion. The enterprise software company posted adjusted earnings of $5.90 per share, beating estimates of $3.27 per share, according to Benzinga Pro.

Total revenue in the quarter was up 11% on a year-over-year basis. Salesforce said it exited the period with total remaining performance obligations of $66.5 billion, up 11% year-over-year.

Salesforce generated operating cash flow of $1.3 billion and free cash flow of $1.1 billion in the quarter. The company had approximately $8.3 billion in cash and cash equivalents at quarter’s end.

“We just delivered one of our best quarters ever, outperforming across every key metric,” said Marc Benioff, chair and CEO of Salesforce. “AI is delivering value across every layer of our platform. We’re seeing incredible demand for our AI and data products, with ARR about to cross $4 billion.”

What’s Next For Salesforce?

Salesforce expects third-quarter revenue to be in the range of $11.42 billion to $11.50 billion, versus estimates of $11.41 billion. The company sees third-quarter adjusted earnings of $3.42 to $3.44 per share, versus estimates of $3.37 per share.

Salesforce raised its fiscal 2027 revenue outlook from a range of $45.9 billion to $46.2 billion to a new range of $46.1 to $46.4 billion, versus estimates of $46.11 billion. The company raised its full-year adjusted earnings guidance from a range of $14.06 to $14.12 per share to a new range of $16.67 to $16.71 per share, versus estimates of $14.14 per share.

Salesforce management will discuss the quarter on an earnings call scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.

Salesforce Inks Deal With Anthropic

In connection with earnings, Salesforce announced a “Claudeforce” partnership with Anthropic, bringing Claude’s intelligence and reasoning together with Salesforce’s enterprise platform.

“By fusing Claude’s extraordinary reasoning with the trusted data, workflows, and governance every enterprise runs on, we’re delivering a dynamic interface that thinks, reasons, and acts. This is how every business will run,” Benioff said.

The deal with Anthropic appears to be helping boost shares after hours.

CRM Shares Move Higher After The Bell

CRM Price Action: Salesforce shares were up 13.93% in after-hours Wednesday, trading at $234.75 at the time of publication, according to Benzinga Pro.
