Why Is Hims & Hers Health Stock Falling Tuesday?

Hims & Hers Health Inc. (NYSE:HIMS) stock fell Tuesday after the company reported mixed second-quarter results following Monday’s closing bell. Nasdaq futures rose 0.28%, while S&P 500 futures gained 0.16%.

Concerns over shrinking profit margins overshadowed strong subscriber growth and a higher annual revenue forecast, Reuters reported. The company’s push into branded GLP-1 weight-loss drugs and international markets drove up costs, contributing to a quarterly loss compared with a profit a year earlier.

Hims & Hers Health reported quarterly losses of 37 cents per share. The performance missed the analyst consensus estimate for losses of three cents per share.

Top-Line Revenue Growth

Quarterly revenue reached $753.21 million, which beat the Street estimate of $699.889 million. The revenue figure increased from $544.83 million reported in the same period last year.

Inside the report, the company highlighted subscriber growth to nearly 2.9 million in the second quarter. The subscriber metric represents a 19% increase year-over-year.

Full-Year Guidance And Price Target

Looking ahead, Hims & Hers Health raised its fiscal 2026 revenue outlook to between $3.1 billion and $3.3 billion, versus the $2.93 billion analyst estimate.

Following the earnings report, Needham maintained a Buy rating on Hims & Hers Health and raised its price forecast to $42 on Tuesday.

HIMS Stock: Key Levels and Momentum Analysis

At $30.10, HIMS is trading 3.8% below its 20-day SMA ($31.19) and 5% below its 50-day SMA ($31.57), which keeps the near-term trend tilted lower unless buyers can reclaim that $31–$32 zone. At the same time, it’s still 7.5% above the 100-day SMA ($27.91) and 1.2% above the 200-day SMA ($29.64), so the intermediate trend hasn’t fully broken down.

Momentum is best described as “neutral but fragile,” with RSI at 51.64.

The crossover picture is mixed: the 20-day SMA sitting below the 50-day SMA is a bearish near-term setup, but the golden cross that occurred in July (50-day SMA above the 200-day SMA) still argues the bigger trend can stabilize if support holds.

  • Key Resistance: $30 — a round-number pivot that’s also sitting near the 200-day SMA/EMA area, so failed retests can attract sellers.
  • Key Support: $24 — a prior demand zone that sits well below current price and would likely come into focus if the stock loses the high-$20s moving-average shelf.

HIMS Stock Price Activity: Hims & Hers Health shares were down 5.26% at $30.10 during premarket trading on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
