U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 150 points on Tuesday.
Shares of Quantum Corp (NASDAQ:QMCO) rose sharply during Tuesday’s session after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and issued second-quarter guidance above estimates.
Quantum posted adjusted earnings of 18 cents per share, versus market estimates of a loss of 17 cents per share. The company’s sales came in at $80.803 million, versus estimates of $75.050 million.
Quantum shares jumped 44% to $16.96 on Tuesday.

- Alamar Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:ALMR) gained 18.3% to $33.12 following upbeat quarterly earnings.
- Mistras Group Inc (NYSE:MG) surged 16.5% to $18.41 after posting upbeat quarterly results.
- Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises Inc (NYSE:BW) gained 14.8% to $10.23 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results.

- Renew Energy Global PLC (NASDAQ:RNW) gained 11.2% to $6.82 as the company agreed to be taken private by its CEO and CPP Investments at $7.02 per share in cash.
