Taiwan Semiconductor’s Blockbuster Run Rolls On: July Revenue Surges 45%

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd. (NYSE:TSM) reported a sharp increase in July revenue on Monday, extending strong growth from a year earlier.

The chipmaker reported consolidated revenue of approximately 467.58 billion New Taiwan dollars for July, up 44.7% from 323.17 billion New Taiwan dollars in the same month last year.

July Revenue Rises From June

Revenue increased 5.6% from 442.68 billion New Taiwan dollars in June, according to the company’s monthly revenue report.

The results showed continued momentum through the first seven months of the year.

Revenue from January through July reached approximately 2.872 trillion New Taiwan dollars, up 37% from 2.096 trillion New Taiwan dollars during the same period in 2025.

The company’s July revenue table showed net revenue of 467.58 billion New Taiwan dollars, compared with 442.68 billion New Taiwan dollars in June and 323.17 billion New Taiwan dollars in July 2025.

Analysts on average expect Taiwan Semiconductor’s sales to increase 46.8% in the current quarter, according to a Bloomberg report.

Taiwan Semiconductor Raises Spending And Sales Outlook

Taiwan Semiconductor raised its annual spending and revenue projections last month, reflecting confidence that strong demand for AI chips will continue into 2027 and beyond.

The company now expects 2026 capital expenditure to reach a record $60 billion to $64 billion. It also expects full-year sales to grow slightly above 40% in U.S. dollar terms.

Taiwan Semiconductor is the world’s largest dedicated semiconductor foundry, with about 70% market share in 2025. Founded in 1987, the company manufactures chips designed by other companies.

Its customers include Apple Inc., Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. and NVIDIA Corp. Its leading-edge manufacturing capabilities make Taiwan Semiconductor a critical supplier to the global semiconductor industry.

The Funds Most Invested In Taiwan Semiconductor

TSM has significant weightings in several exchange-traded funds.

The VanEck Semiconductor ETF (NASDAQ:SMH) has a 9.16% weighting in the stock. The Nicholas Crypto Income ETF (NYSE:BLOX) has an 8.09% weighting, while the Lazard Emerging Markets Opportunities ETF (NYSE:EMKT) has a 7.45% weighting.

Large ETF weightings can make Taiwan Semiconductor sensitive to fund flows, as inflows and outflows may result in corresponding purchases or sales of the shares.

TSM Stock Price Activity: Taiwan Semiconductor shares were up 0.37% at $421.60 during premarket trading on Monday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
