Shares of Vroom Inc. (NASDAQ:VRM) are trading sharply higher Wednesday afternoon following the release of its second-quarter 2026 financial results.

Vroom Achieves First-Ever Quarterly Profit in Q2 2026

The automotive finance and analytics provider reported a second-quarter loss of 1 cent per share, alongside sales of $40.29 million. Most notably, Vroom delivered $0.6 million in net income and $1.5 million in adjusted net income, achieving positive profitability for the first time in company history.

Balance Sheet Strengthening and 2026 Guidance

Vroom closed the quarter with $63.9 million in total available liquidity and $99.8 million in stockholders’ equity. Management further bolstered its financial position by exchanging $28.5 million of existing notes for $50.0 million in new Senior Secured Delayed Draw Convertible Notes due 2032.

Looking ahead, full-year 2026 guidance projects indirect origination volume between $475 million and $515 million.

CEO Tom Shortt highlighted credit performance gains at United Auto Credit Corporation (UACC), driven by a refreshed internal scoring model.
