Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE:BRK) (NYSE:BRK) shares have flashed a bullish technical signal, with the stock’s 50-day simple moving average crossing above its 200-day simple moving average—a pattern known on Wall Street as a Golden Cross.

Berkshire’s 50-day moving average rose to $491.38, edging above the 200-day moving average at $490.19, according to TradingView data. Shares were trading around $511.54, well above both key trendlines.
The Golden Cross is widely followed by technical traders as a sign that long-term momentum may be shifting higher after a period of consolidation. While the pattern doesn’t guarantee further gains, it has historically been viewed as a bullish confirmation signal when supported by improving price action.
Momentum indicators also point to strengthening technicals. Berkshire’s Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD) indicator remains in bullish territory, while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 65.98, suggesting positive momentum without yet entering overbought territory.
The signal comes as Berkshire trades near record highs ahead of its next earnings report. Investors will be watching for updates on the conglomerate’s operating businesses, insurance operations, capital allocation and investment portfolio following Warren Buffett’s transition from CEO earlier this year.
