U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 400 points on Monday.
Shares of Baker Hughes Co (NASDAQ:BKR) rose sharply after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results. Also, it received a technology order from Venture Global for its CP2 LNG project expansion.
Baker Hughes reported quarterly earnings of 64 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 500 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $6.742 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $6.523 billion.
Baker Hughes shares surged 8.2% to $61.97 on Monday.

- Forte Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:FBRX) gained 39.5% to $76.42 after argenx SE – ADR (NASDAQ:ARGX) announced plans to acquire the company for $77 per share in cash, valuing the deal at $2.2 billion.
- First Tracks Biotherapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:TRAX) gained 21.1% to $43.02.
- Genius Sports Ltd (NYSE:GENI) surged 13.7% to $7.37.
- Bitmine Immersion Technologies Inc (NYSE:BMNR) surged 11.9% to $17.68. Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced that ETH holdings reached 5.79 million tokens, and total crypto and total cash holdings of $11.8 billion.
- Omeros Corp (NASDAQ:OMER) surged 11.5% to $10.92.
- Asana Inc (NYSE:ASAN) surged 10.7% to $7.60.
- Eikon Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:EIKN) jumped 10.4% to $9.83. The company announced that the first patient has been dosed in TeLuRide-008, a Phase 2/3 study of EIK1001 with pembrolizumab and chemotherapy in stage 4 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.
- IONQ Inc (NYSE:IONQ) rose 8.5% to $35.62. IonQ said it will report second quarter financial results on Aug. 5.
- Sprout Social Inc (NASDAQ:SPT) gained 8.4% to $8.20.
- Workday Inc (NASDAQ:WDAY) shares rose 7.7% to $145.83.
- JBS NV (NYSE:JBS) gained 7.5% to $13.20.
- Robert Half Inc (NYSE:RHI) rose 7% to $37.79.
- SAP SE (NYSE:SAP) gained 6.6% to $170.60. Barclays maintained its Overweight rating on the stock and lowered its price target from $255 to $242.
- Braze Inc (NASDAQ:BRZE) gained 6.6% to $23.20.
- Wix.Com Ltd (NASDAQ:WIX) gained 6.5% to $54.77.
